education inspires evolution
on my journey, where i needed the most education was in relationships. this started from the relationship with myself and extended to the relationship that i had with others. i needed to know how to love, which i learned encompassed care, mutual respect, communication, compassion, and many other characteristics. it was only when i experienced deep communion with myself that i could cultivate that depth within my relationships. i redefined my idea of perfection—and found it to simply be the will to refine oneself. to refine means to improve (something) by making small changes, in particular make (an idea, theory, or method) more subtle and accurate. instead of thinking that I had to be flawless, i realized that i was free to improve myself by investing the time and energy needed to get where i wanted to be.
it's beautiful how simply reconstructing my thoughts and ideas about a specific word changed my approach to life. a small change that led to a major shift.
when you choose to educate yourself, you begin to position yourself to understand life beyond the scope of your experiences. this is how we evolve as individuals and as a society. being educated will empower you to challenge the status quo and question the things we know or have been taught. this applies to every aspect of life. when you are conditioned to live in a certain way or show up in a particular manner, your brain knows that pattern as its default, one it will rely on day after day. however, you have the power to receive new information and knowledge to elevate, transform, and reform your way of thinking. by starting with clear definitions, you can expand your mind to understand that there are higher ways of showing up in the world, beyond how you have been showing up in the past, even if that past was just earlier this week.
get educated, then allow what you receive to inspire a (re)evolution in your life.
